There are plenty of alarming social issues in Pakistan like, food and water crises, poverty, terrorism, discrimination of gender, climate change, environmental pollution and so on. One of the main reasons of environmental contamination is plastic. This issue demands communal awareness and contribution in order to clean our environment from plastics. Better understanding is needed on the toxic chemicals that releases from within plastic bags and other plastic items, which are hazardous to the environment and to the human health. As a solution, cloth bags have become the consideration of modern study due to their possible reusable quality, which would be the most eco-friendly tactic to cope with this problem. Hashtag is used to form a link that takes you to the page where other people have hash-tagged the same thing on social media. The campaign’s title #stepbystep suggests that step by step or little by little we can accomplish our goal of plastic free environment. Everything is possible if we believe in it, as Jacques-Yves Cousteau quotes, “The impossible missions are the only ones which succeed.
